Samsung will add USDC transfers to Samsung Wallet for eligible users across 82 million U.S. Galaxy devices in the last week of October, letting them send money to crypto wallets or bank accounts in more than 60 countries. CoinDesk reported the service will route bank payouts in local currency.
USDC, a dollar-linked stablecoin, will be the first supported token. You will be able to use it inside Samsung Wallet without installing a separate crypto app or managing private keys, according to Samsung’s partners.
How will a USDC transfer reach a bank account?
Samsung Wallet users will be able to send USDC to compatible crypto wallets abroad or choose an eligible bank account. For a bank payout, Bastion says it will convert USDC and route the money through local regulated partners, so the recipient can get local currency.
The service will use integrated ways to move between regular money and USDC. Transfers require a registered Galaxy device and biometric approval, according to Bastion’s announcement.
What will users pay, and who handles the crypto?
Samsung says it will charge no fee for USDC transfers to compatible external wallets. A recipient’s wallet or exchange may still charge its own fee, and the announcement does not specify fees for bank payouts.
Bastion will provide custody and stablecoin account services. Coinbase will act as USDC sub-custodian through Coinbase Prime Vault, while Solana and Sui will provide blockchain network support. The service is planned for the U.S. launch; Samsung has not announced when it will expand to other markets.
When can Galaxy users try it?
The rollout is set for the last week of October 2026, across 82 million eligible U.S. Galaxy devices. That is the next date to watch: the launch will show how Samsung’s wallet handles USDC transfers and local-currency payouts in practice.
