How to trade on SyncSwap and add liquidity to a pool
SyncSwap lets you swap tokens and add liquidity from a connected wallet; learn how quotes, approvals, pool shares and price risk shape each transaction.
The Splyt Genesis Desk

SyncSwap lets you swap one token for another or deposit tokens into a liquidity pool, with each transaction confirmed from your wallet. You need the right network, the assets for the action and enough of the network’s gas token to pay transaction costs.
On the swap screen, connect your wallet and check the network shown before choosing the token you’ll spend and the one you want to receive. The syncswap quote gives you a practical point to check the expected output before you sign.
How do you make a SyncSwap trade?
To make a SyncSwap trade, select the network and token pair, enter an amount, review the quote, then approve and confirm the transaction in your wallet. If you have not approved that token before, your wallet may ask you to approve it first; that approval is a separate transaction.
Check the estimated amount out, the minimum you could receive if the price moves before execution, the pool fee and the gas estimate. These are different costs: the pool fee comes from the trade, while gas pays for processing the transaction on the network. A larger trade can move the pool price more, so compare the quote with the amount you plan to spend.
After signing, wait for the transaction to complete before treating the tokens as exchanged. If the quote changes or the transaction fails, review the new quote and wallet message before trying again.
How do you add liquidity to a SyncSwap pool?
To fund a SyncSwap pool, open the pool area, choose a token pair and review the deposit screen before entering the amount. A pool lets traders swap between its tokens; people who supply tokens receive a share of the pool’s liquidity position and may earn part of its trading fees.
The deposit screen shows which tokens and amounts the selected pool needs. Many pools use two assets, so you may need both; if you hold only one, you might need to swap part of it first. Review the pool type and any shown fee or position details, then approve the tokens if prompted and confirm the deposit in your wallet.
- Check the network and token names before approving anything.
- Keep enough of the network’s gas token to cover each transaction.
- Review the deposit amounts and pool details shown on screen.
- Save the transaction record so you can find your position later.
Supplying liquidity is not the same as earning a fixed rate. Fees depend on trading activity, and the value of your position can change as token prices move relative to each other. You can withdraw from a pool, but the value returned may differ from what you deposited.
What should you check before signing?
Before each transaction, confirm the network, token addresses or names, amount and wallet prompt. A token with a familiar ticker can still be the wrong asset, and an approval gives a contract permission to use a token up to the approved amount.
For most first-time users, a small swap is a sensible way to learn the steps and read the quote before committing more. When adding liquidity, choose a pool only after you understand the assets it holds and accept the possibility that your position’s value may change.
Watch the quote and minimum received on your next SyncSwap trade, then check the pool’s displayed deposit amounts and fee details before funding a position. Those screens are the signals that tell you what the transaction will do and what you are taking on.
